BBQ Pork Chops
5 to 8 pork chops
1/2 cup catsup
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1 cup water
1 bay leaf
Brown pork chops. Combine ingredients. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/2
hours. Turn chops once during baking.
Variation: I simmer the chops on the stove, covered, in the same pan I
brown them in for 45 minutes. The sauce should reduce and get
thicker. You can always add a roux or flour to thicken. Great as a
gravy over potatoes.
